Shibumi (Japanese word that refers to a simple, subtle and not showy beauty) is the project set up by the Barberis family. A floating laboratory that aims at raising awareness on pollution, smart use of resources and the sighting of cetaceans.
The 17 m long 2-masted sailing yacht is equipped with a Bamar manual foresail furler. Its crew is made up by Stefano Barberis (father), Sara Rossini (mother), their 3 kids Iago, Nina, Timo and their dog Pepper.
The Barberis are amongst the candidates for the 2021 edition of Velista dell’Anno (Sailor of the Year) by Giornale della Vela Tag Heuer
